Ingrid Lilligren is professor and chair, Department of Art and Visual Culture at Iowa State University where she teaches courses in ceramics and public art. She earned a BFA degree at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and MFA degree from The Claremont Graduate University. Recent exhibitions include the Des Moines Art Center, Museum of the Hand in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Design on Main Gallery, Ames, IA. Her artwork is held in public collections including Grinnell College, Iowa State University, and the Sioux City Art Center and numerous private collections. Recent artwork incorporates Braille as a symbolic language expressing social cultural and political blindness.
